Decatur Heritage Christian Academy is currently seeking a Bible teacher for our Upper School. The ideal candidate displays a deep knowledge of Scripture and how it applies to the lives of students. This includes an ability to demonstrate a passion for ministering to students. The candidate must be a professing and maturing Christian enthusiastically supporting DHCA’s Statement of Faith. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience and training, pursues excellence in all endeavors, cares deeply about their students and pursues God-honoring relationships that lead and disciple young people toward Christian maturity. Qualifications

  • A clear testimony of a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ

  • A faithful member/attendee of a church whose beliefs align with the school's Statement of Faith

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; highly preferred to be in the subject for which the applicant is applying

  • Strong professional or collegiate references

  • Expertise in the integration of faith and learning

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Teaching certification and experience in a school setting preferred
